Now that the Fair has come and gone, and with the loss of our sweet Oma as well, we try to settle in to our 'new normal' whatever that will be. Taking a moment break from the garden to do something LONG overdue......

And the winner is?
Wondering about that weren't you?  Mel & Elizabeth won our Kalispell Kinders King at the Northwest Montana Goat Association Raffle!!  How lucky we were as well, praying for the perfect match for King.  Elizabeth is a 10 year old sweetheart who plans on training King for the obstacle course!  A match made in heaven for sure!!!  Hearing from her mom, Mel, how well King is fitting in with the whole family and how much the two love each other.  Now how wonderful is that?

First Kinder at the NW MT Fair.....
....thank you, thank you, & more!

Kalispell Kinders King was a hit, cute & friendly little guy had many people wanting to pet him as we walked him around on a lease.  Though stressful for this little fella, crying whenever we walked away, he still had the kids crowding him.  Though he didn't actually win either the milk or meat class, (our little guy went up against Nubian and Boars), it was still great to see the first Kinder at our local fair.

A HUGE thanks to Ty Smith for showing our King in both classes as well.  He was awesome!  Spending a lot of time with King and working hard to show him well in the ring.  Now that is a young man going places with goats!  How glad we are that we were able to meet him and thank him in person for all his help. Way to go young man!!!! Looking forward to seeing him continuing to show.

Another HUGE thanks to the Northwest Montana Goat Association for all their help in promoting all things goatie, let alone how they promoted the Kinder breed.  Announcing the breed, that they are dual purpose, that they are a recognized breed of goat with their own registry, & allowing us to man the table with information!  Being part of the Northwest Montana Goat Association is a dream come true......as a member we can participate in all meetings, have the ability to promote Kinders & our farm, and be actively involved with all aspects of this great Association. We are excited to see where this new organization goes.  Not only is the Association actively involved with 4H & FFA, they are looking for ways to get meat sales going and working with those trying to legalize the farm sale of raw milk.  How's that for a great group!

And finally a HUGE thanks to Pat Showalter who graciously saved our bottoms!  Pat provided all the handouts for the kids at the fair, as well as giving us everything we needed to promote our Kinders!!  Thank you Pat - as always you're our hero and we LOVE YOU!

Other Kinder fair announcements..........

Kinder milk won a blue ribbon, with a note from the judge that you couldn't even tell it was goat milk!!!  Of course, everyone who has a Kinder already knows that.........  ~wink, wink~

Our Kalispell Kinders Garlic & Chives Chevre won a red ribbon, as well as our Feta won a white ribbon!!  Over all a good first time at the fair, don't you think! Though the fair experience was a new one for us, we were really happy to be there and to promote Kinders, as well as all things goat related.

Again thank you to all the people and groups that made our first Kinder showing a wonderful experience!!

Blessings,
Nick & Brenda Lee
